Assistant Golf Professional/Head of Outside Operations

Overview Job SummaryWe are seeking an assistant golf professional/head of outside operations to manage our outside service team and our caddie program.This candidate will be personable in nature and have a passion for providing high levels of customer service. We are looking for someone that demonstrates leadership qualities and who can work with the team to produce a professional experience here at Naperville Country Club.There is a heavier work focus between March and November. Schedule and work hours will be coordinated with the Head Golf Professional depending on the time of the year.Experience Required Experience PreferredPrior experience in golf operations and/or customer service is helpful, but not necessaryKnowledge and understanding of typical golf course proceduresProfienciency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and OutlookAny experience with ClubUp caddie software is encouragedEssential Responsibilities Duties to include, but not limited to caddie services, outside services, golf shop operations, tournament operations, and outing management.Understand the game of golf and have knowledge of the rules and etiquette of the game.Maintain an adequate pool of well-trained caddies and bag room employees.Train new caddies as to the rules of golf and duties to be performed while on the golf course. An effective training program including printed and video materials as well as on-course training must be utilized.Make sure that caddies are available to all golfers, giving equal opportunity to all caddies.We use a program called ClubUp for assigning caddies so that our caddies are able to better maintain their own schedules. It is the Caddie/Bag Room Manager's responsibility to learn this software and utilize it to properly load and assign caddies.Work with the golf professional to determine the number of caddies needed for special high-demand events (i.e. club tournaments and Monday outings).Evaluate caddie performance aided by member's comments and caddie evaluations through ClubUp.Promote caddies to higher pay grades when appropriate. This will need to be done through Club Up as all payments will also be through the program linked through Venmo.Utilize Club Up to maintain a caddie evaluation and ranking system. Each round a caddie is rated through the app just like an Uber driver. Make sure all caddies strive to achieve at least a 4/5-star rating. If there are any caddies that struggle, help them with more training.Maintain Caddie/Bag Room Manager's office and see that the bag room and cart staging, and storage areas are kept clean and presentable.Maintain an operating Bag Room schedule and make sure that daily operation as well as special events are fully staffed properly.Communicate with golf professional if any caddie or bag room related equipment or building area is in need of repair.Supervise the caddie banquet and help with caddie prizes.Expected to continue the tradition of developing Evans Scholars through recruitment and education.BenefitsClub offers Individual Health Insurance, Dental & Vision PlansPGA Dues paidGolf priviligesMeals while on duty401k (19+)Paid Sick Leave
