Winged Foot Golf Club is a private club with two 18-hole golf courses located in Mamaroneck, New York.
We are looking for a passionate and skilled Seasonal Pizza Cook to join our Culinary team. This is a great opportunity for someone who loves food, values teamwork, and thrives in a kitchen where high standards and quality are always the focus.
Position Summary
Prepares and cooks pizzas and other dishes while maintaining consistent standards in quality, food safety, and communication and takes direction from the Director of Culinary and Sous Chefs.
Position Responsibilities:
· Prepares pizza dough, pizza sauce, toppings and other menu items according to
Winged Foot's standards and specifications
· Cook pizzas in ovens monitoring cooking time and temperature for consistency
· Ensure all pizzas meet quality and presentation standards before serving
· Works well with team and communicates efficiently
· Prepare all other dishes to standards consistently and timely
· Organizes and prioritizes multiple projects to meet deadlines
· Proactive, creative and flexible when it comes to problem solving
· Practice safe and sanitary food handling and preparation procedures
· Takes direction from Director of Culinary and Sous Chefs, and ask questions when
necessary
· Maintains a clean, organized and hygienic station
· Takes full responsibility over assigned station, completes prep needs and executes
service
· Follows recipes using appropriate measuring techniques
· Performs other kitchen duties as assigned
Qualification Standards:
· Food Handler’s certification is required
· Must be able to cook orders as specified on the menu and to the members’ request
· Must be able to operate cooking equipment
· Must be able to read and understand English and communicate with members in a
professional manner
· Must be able to use and read a food thermometer
· Efficient and precise knife skills
· Knowledge and appropriate application of fundamental cooking techniques
· Reliable and punctual
Education:
· High school diploma or GED
· Culinary school preferred
Experience:
· 2 or more years working on the line with relative pizza production and cooking
· 1 or more years fine dining club experience preferred
Physical Demands:
· Standing
· Walking
· Repetitive movement- Cutting, bending, squatting, stooping, scrubbing, pushing,
pulling, stirring, reaching, lifting, sitting, writing
Grooming:
All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Club standards. Professional business attire required.
Job Type: Seasonal
Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
