## Seasonal Fine Dining Attendant — Westchester Country Club
Since 1922, Westchester Country Club has been an exclusive, family-oriented private club located in Rye, New York. We are hiring Seasonal Server Assistants to join our Food & Beverage team to support a variety of a la carte outlets and help deliver a memorable dining experience for our Members and guests. This role involves complete service of food and beverages according to established rules of etiquette, working closely with Runners and other Server Assistants to ensure smooth service. Typical tasks include taking beverage orders, entering beverage orders into the Jonas system and delivering them to the table in a timely manner; explaining specials and upselling additional items based on pre-shift suggestions; taking food orders, entering them into the Jonas system and presetting necessary silverware; and serving food in a way that meets WCC standards.
A few of the routine duties you will perform:
- Take beverage orders, enter beverage order into the Jonas system and deliver to table in timely manner
- Explain specials and up sell additional items based on pre-shift suggestions discussed
- Take food order, enter into the Jonas system and preset the necessary silverware
- Ensure smooth communication and coordination with Front and Back team members (Runners, Server Assistants, Cooks)
- Serve food in timely manner and in accordance with WCC standards
- Assist the host and management with meeting, greeting and seating of guests when needed
- Clear table as necessary and attend to guests throughout the meal
- Close out the check on the Jonas system

What you'll need: High School degree or equivalent preferred. Three to six months of related work experience and/or training strongly preferred. Basic mathematical skills preferred. You should be able to multitask and operate within a fast-paced environment and be knowledgeable of Hospitality / Culinary Terms. Physical and practical requirements include the ability to lift up to 25 lbs., the ability to stand for long periods of time, and the ability to handle an entire station as designated by the dining room captain or Manager. You must be able to anticipate the needs and requests of Members and guests and operate all job related equipment, to include but not limited to POS (Jonas Point of Touch), coffee machines, espresso machine.
You are expected to be knowledgeable about all menu items including their ingredients, presentation and methods of preparation, and to be able to present and up sell specials and other menu items, answer questions and make suggestions regarding Food and wine pairing. The role requires the ability to serve and clear food and beverage quietly and professionally, in a timely manner, by using proper serving and clearing techniques. Excellent organizational skills to maintain stations and side stands stocked with necessary supplies and clean at all times are important, as is the ability to handle complaints in a professional manner and work on a team to ensure smooth communication, cooperation and coordination with other team members at the Front and Back of the House.
**PAY RANGE:** Salary Range: $17.00 To $18.00 Hourly. $17.00 - $18.00 hourly compensation, commensurate with experience.
