Fawn Lake Country Club is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and team-oriented Kitchen Utility / Prep Assistant to support our culinary operations. This position plays an important role in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, sanitation, and overall efficiency of the kitchen while assisting with food preparation and daily operational support. POSITION SUMMARY
The Kitchen Utility / Prep Assistant is responsible for assisting with dishwashing operations, kitchen cleanliness, food preparation, stocking, sanitation, and general support of kitchen operations. This position helps ensure the kitchen maintains high standards of cleanliness, organization, food safety, and service efficiency.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Kitchen & Dishwashing Operations
Operate dishwashing equipment and maintain dishwashing areas in a clean and organized mannerClean pots, pans, kitchen utensils, dishes, and food preparation equipmentMaintain cleanliness of sinks, dish stations, storage areas, walk-ins, and kitchen workspacesFood Preparation & Kitchen Support
Assist with daily food preparation and workstation setup as directed by the culinary teamPrepare and store food items according to club quality and food safety standardsAssist with washing, cutting, and organizing vegetables, fruits, lettuces, and other prep itemsSupport kitchen staff during service periods and assist where neededOrganization & Sanitation
Dispose of trash, food waste, and recycling materials properlySweep and mop kitchen floors, storage rooms, employee break areas, and kitchen officesMaintain sanitation and safety standards in compliance with club policies and health regulationsAssist with receiving and organizing kitchen deliveries and inventoryTeamwork & Communication
Communicate equipment concerns or supply needs to the Chef or kitchen leadershipSupport fellow team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations and excellent member serviceAttend daily lineups and participate as part of the culinary teamMaintain a positive attitude and professional appearance at all timesQUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Previous kitchen, dishwashing, or food service experience preferred but not requiredAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentStrong work ethic and willingness to assist where neededAbility to follow instructions and work collaboratively with a teamKnowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices preferredReliable attendance and punctuality requiredPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to stand for extended periods of timeAbility to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 poundsAbility to bend, stoop, kneel, and work in a fast-paced kitchen environmentSCHEDULE & AVAILABILITY
