Position Summary
Hermitage Country Club is seeking a professional, service-focused Banquet Captain to lead event operations and deliver exceptional hospitality experiences for weddings, member events, corporate functions, golf tournaments, and private celebrations. The ideal candidate is organized, energetic, and experienced in banquet or restaurant leadership.
The Banquet Captain serves as the primary floor leader during events, ensuring smooth execution, outstanding guest service, and effective communication between banquet staff, kitchen teams, and event management.
Responsibilities
Lead banquet staff during setup, service, and breakdown of events
Ensure all events are executed according to banquet event orders (BEOs)
Supervise and assist servers and bartenders throughout service
Maintain high standards of guest service and professionalism
Coordinate with culinary and management teams to ensure timely service
Monitor event timelines and address guest needs promptly
Train and mentor banquet team members
Ensure cleanliness, safety, and proper presentation of banquet spaces
Assist with room setups including tables, linens, décor, and service stations
