About the Role
Job Overview
The Executive Chef is responsible for all culinary operations, including the main clubhouse kitchen, banquet events, and the seasonal pool kitchen. This position requires strong leadership, creativity, and the ability to manage a high-performing culinary team while maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and safety.
Responsibilities
Direct and oversee all kitchen operations, including the clubhouse dining, banquets/events, and pool kitchenDevelop and execute seasonal menus tailored to members’ preferences and dietary needsSupervise, train, and mentor kitchen staff, including sous chefs, line cooks, and pool kitchen staffMaintain food cost controls and manage kitchen budget effectivelyEnsure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulationsCollaborate with the Event Coordinator and F&B team on menu planning and execution for private functions and club eventsMonitor inventory, place orders, and manage vendor relationshipsInnovate with daily specials and themed dining events to enhance member experienceOversee food preparation and service for high-volume, fast-paced poolside operations during peak seasonExperience
5+ years of experience as an Executive Chef or Sous Chef in an upscale dining or private club environmentExperience managing multiple kitchens or outlets, including seasonal or outdoor kitchensStrong culinary skills with a deep understanding of menu development and cost controlProven leadership, communication, and team-building skillsAbility to thrive in both fine dining and casual dining environmentsServSafe Certification (or ability to obtain) requiredDegree in Culinary Arts or Hospitality Management preferredBenefits
