Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking Prep Cook / Line Cook to join our kitchen team. This position is responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking menu items to standard, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting overall kitchen operations. The ideal candidate works well under pressure, follows recipes consistently, and takes pride in quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
• Prepare ingredients (chopping, slicing, portioning, marinating, etc.)
• Cook and plate menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Monitor food quality and freshness
• Assist with inventory and restocking
• Work efficiently during high-volume service periods
• Communicate clearly with kitchen team and front-of-house staff
Qualifications
• Previous kitchen experience preferred (prep or line experience a plus)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong time management and multitasking skills
• Knowledge of basic cooking techniques
• Understanding of food safety standards
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
• Dependable with strong work ethic
