Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for food preparation, kitchen operations, and delivering exceptional dining experiences. Prior experience in the food industry, including restaurant or catering settings, is highly valued. Duties
• Prepare ingredients for dinner and lunch services and assisting with menu planning for specials to utilize product to support daily kitchen operations
• Cook and assemble dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
• Handle food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen by washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment efficiently
• Follow food safety protocols to ensure proper handling, storage, and sanitation of all food items
• Support the culinary team during meal service, catering events, and special functions
• Assist with inventory management by monitoring supplies and notifying management of stock levels
• Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating with kitchen staff and adhering to operational procedures
Skills
• Strong knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and sanitation practices
• Proficiency in basic cooking techniques and meal preparation
• Familiarity with food presentation standards
• The ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy kitchen setting is a must
• Previous restaurant or food service experience required
• Ability to work as part of a team with good communication skills
• Flexibility to adapt to various roles within the kitchen including prep work, cooking, or the occasional dishwashing
• Knowledge of catering would be a plus

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
