• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients to streamline kitchen operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Support the kitchen team during busy service hours by efficiently managing multiple orders and ensuring timely delivery of dishes.
• Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent cross-contamination and ensure safe meal preparation.
• Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff on menu planning ideas, special requests, and daily specials to enhance the dining experience.
• Ensure all food is stored correctly, rotating stock appropriately to minimize waste and maintain freshness.
• *Requirements
• Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable.
• Proven background in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant experience with a focus on fine dining or catering environments.
• Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques across various cuisines.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
• Experience with menu planning, food industry practices, and kitchen operations.
• Excellent communication skills for serving guests and working effectively within a team.
