Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Grill Cook - I to join our vibrant culinary team! Responsibilities
Prepare and cook grilled items including meats, vegetables, and seafood following established recipes and menu specifications
Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, ovens, and food prep stations safely and efficiently
Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitizing procedures throughout all stages of food handling and preparation
Assist in menu planning by providing input on ingredient selection and preparation methods
Ensure food production meets quality standards for taste, appearance, and portion control
Support the dietary department by adhering to dietary restrictions and special meal requirements when necessary
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment in compliance with health regulations
Qualifications
Previous experience as a dietary aide or in food service, preferably with fine dining or high-volume production experience
Strong knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures
Skilled in various cooking techniques including grilling, braising, poaching, and meal preparation
Proficient in operating kitchen equipment safely and effectively
Excellent knife skills with the ability to handle food handling tasks efficiently
Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and food production processes
Ability to work quickly under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Restaurant or catering experience is highly desirable; culinary experience is a plus
