General Maintenance Technician

About the position The General Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving all club facilities to ensure a safe, functional, and high-quality environment for members and staff. This role requires a hands-on, versatile technician capable of performing a wide range of maintenance tasks including basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general repairs. This is not a single-trade role. The technician is expected to support all areas of facility operations as needed. Competitive hourly wage based on experience Opportunities for skill development and advancement within Facilities Responsibilities • Perform routine maintenance and repairs across clubhouse, Beach Club, and all club properties • Execute basic electrical work (lighting, outlets, switches, minor troubleshooting) • Perform minor plumbing repairs (leaks, clogs, fixture replacements) • Complete carpentry tasks (shelving, fencing, trim work, small builds) • Conduct painting, drywall repair, and finishing work • Assist with preventative maintenance programs and work orders through our CMMS • Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner • Support setup and breakdown of club events when needed • Identify and report potential issues before they become major problems • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe condition • Work collaboratively with other technicians and departments Requirements • 2+ years of general maintenance or facilities experience • Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry systems • Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve independently • Valid driver's license • Must be reliable, responsive, and take ownership of assigned work • Willingness to perform a wide variety of tasks • Maintain a professional attitude when interacting with members and staff • Flexibility to work occasional evenings or holidays as needed • Participation in a rotating weekend schedule, including working one Sunday every three (3) weeks • Flexibility to adjust schedule based on operational needs, events, or emergency situations Benefits • Opportunities for skill development and advancement within Facilities • Competitive hourly wage based on experience
