About the Role
POSITION SUMMARY: The Maintenance Technician keeps the physical structure, appearance and associated equipment of the Club in good working order by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Perform or assist in preventative maintenance programs.Maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical to include light switches, receptacles, breakers, motors, light fixtures, bulbs, ballasts/drivers, and ceiling fans, etc.Maintain, troubleshoot and repair plumbing to include faucets, sinks, drains, toilets, urinals, flush valves and water valves. Clears plumbing blockages using a plunger, hand snake or electrical drain snake, etc.Maintain, troubleshoot and repair carpentry to include cabinet repairs, wood and metal door and door hinges, closures, locksets, light furniture repairs, picture and mirror installation, shelving installation, etc.Maintain, troubleshoot and repair finishes to include small drywall repairs, priming and final coats of paint with usage of brush, roller or sprayer, wallpaper, textured surfaces etc.Pressure cleans buildings, walkways, cart paths, and assists in drain line jetting, etc.Drives a golf cart or company truck/van.Maintain a clean and safe workshop, club, and workspace.Perform any additional tasks as requested by Facilities leadership.
Education/Experience
High school diploma, or GED preferred3-5 years of experience is preferred in all aspects of building maintenance and repairsExperience in a Country Club and Hospitality maintenance a plus

Excellent mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to work flexible hours, including possible evenings and weekendsAble to use all types of tools and equipment efficiently and safelyAble to adapt to changing work prioritiesAble to communicate and work with a diverse group of peopleMust be at least 18 years old and available to work a varied schedule that includes nights, weekends and holidaysMust be able to read, write and speak in English well, fluent in Spanish is a plus
Licenses or Certificates
Valid driver’s licenseCertifications in trades a plusCPR/AED/First Aid certification a plus

Precautions should be taken for work performed outside for extended periods of time.
