Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Manager to oversee our culinary operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing kitchen staff, ensuring food quality and safety, and maintaining an efficient kitchen environment. This role requires a strong background in food service management and culinary skills, along with the ability to lead a team effectively.
Duties
• Manage daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
• Supervise kitchen staff, providing training and guidance to ensure high standards of food quality and service.
• Maintain inventory levels, order supplies, and manage food costs effectively.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen.
• Collaborate with other departments to create menu items that meet customer expectations.
• Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems.
• Assist in menu planning and development based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
• Address any customer complaints or feedback regarding food quality or service promptly.
Experience
• Proven experience in a food service or culinary role, preferably as a Kitchen Manager or Assistant Manager.
• Strong knowledge of food service management principles and practices.
• Familiarity with cash handling procedures and POS systems.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
• Culinary training or relevant certifications are preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience in hotel or restaurant settings is a plus.
