Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Cook to join The Canyata team! In this vital role, you will support our culinary department by assisting with meal preparation, food service, and maintaining the highest standards of food safety. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help ensure our residents or guests enjoy nutritious, delicious meals in a welcoming environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop culinary skills within a dynamic hospitality setting.
Duties
Assist with food preparation and meal assembly according to menu plans and dietary guidelines
Serve meals with professionalism, ensuring proper presentation and portion control
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen and dining areas
Handle food items safely following established food safety protocols
Support catering events by preparing and serving food in a timely manner
Help with inventory management by organizing supplies and monitoring stock levels
Follow all food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality at all times
Requirements
Knowledge of food service department operations and menu planning is a plus
Experience working in fine dining or restaurant settings highly desirable
Strong knife skills, cooking abilities, and familiarity with food industry standards required
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
