Job Title: Golf Course Mechanic
Position Summary:
The Golf Course Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overall performance of all golf course equipment and machinery. This role ensures that mowers, utility vehicles, and small engine equipment are operating safely and efficiently to support daily course operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical issues on golf course equipment including greens mowers, fairway mowers, rough mowers, utility vehicles, and small engine toolsPerform preventative maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, blade sharpening, and lubrication schedulesMaintain reels, bedknives, and cutting units to ensure proper turf qualityKeep accurate maintenance records for all equipment and schedule routine servicingOrder parts and manage inventory of tools, fluids, and repair suppliesEnsure all equipment meets safety standards and is operating properly before useAssist in equipment setup for daily mowing and course preparationMaintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environmentCoordinate major repairs or warranty work with external vendors when necessaryOccasionally assist grounds crew with course maintenance when neededQualifications:
Previous experience in small engine repair, diesel/gas engines, or turf equipment maintenance with Toro, John Deere, and Yamaha golf cart experience preferredKnowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systemsAbility to use diagnostic tools and shop equipmentStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailBasic computer skills for recordkeeping and parts orderingAbility to work independently and manage time effectivelyValid driver’s license requiredPhysical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularlyComfortable working in various weather conditionsStanding, bending, and working with tools for extended periodsWork Schedule:
