The Cook 2 position at Invited offers an exciting opportunity to be a vital part of this dynamic hospitality company. This role is instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen by managing the set-up, preparation, and organization of the workstation while maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation. This junior-level role is designed for a culinary professional who possesses an understanding of culinary techniques and is capable of handling more complex tasks than an entry-level cook. Working closely with Cook 1 and Cook 3 team members, the Cook 2 supports the leadership and advanced skills of the senior cook while contributing to a collaborative kitchen environment.
The responsibilities of the Cook 2 extend to preparing complete meals, including soups, meats, gravies, vegetables, desserts, salads, and baked goods, while adhering to company standards. This role involves receiving and storing kitchen goods, managing shared items such as condiments and dressings, and maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the kitchen and workstations. Cook 2 also assists in equipment maintenance, inventory control, and communicates effectively with kitchen management regarding food quality and special product needs.
Moreover, the Cook 2 contributes to menu planning and recipe development, participates in preparing and serving meals tailored to special dietary needs, and may assume charge of a shift in the absence of more senior cooks. This position also involves providing guidance to Cook 1 team members and collaborating professionally with members and guests, addressing their requests and ensuring service excellence through the 3-steps of service. The role requires teamwork, professionalism, and proactivity to foster a positive working environment and deliver superior dining experiences.
