Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on golf course equipment including mowers, utility vehicles, and turf machinery
Troubleshoot mechanical issues using schematics, diagnostic tools, and technical manuals
Repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical components, and mechanical parts with precision and efficiency
Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and heavy lifting techniques to complete repairs
Conduct generator repairs and ensure all equipment operates safely and reliably under various conditions
Maintain detailed service records, work logs, and inventory of parts used for each repair
Collaborate with course staff to schedule maintenance without disrupting daily operations or guest experiences
Experience
Proven dealership experience or service technician background in automotive or heavy equipment repair
Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in diesel engine repair and electrical systems
Familiarity with schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex machinery
Experience working with Caterpillar or similar heavy-duty equipment is highly desirable
Skilled in welding, soldering, and the use of hand tools and power tools for various repair tasks
Customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and support staff
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during repairs
